The people perish for a lack of knowledge, and as we can see, there is truth in those few words that can be found within the pages of scripture. Have you ever seen a nation fall as fast as America is doing? Just a few short years ago, she was the Queen, and now? Astonishing at how rapid sin can pull a nation down into the gutters of depravity when the righteous are nowhere to be found.
Need I point out to you the effects of accepting wickedness and perversion among those who presume to lead this country? No, for those with a lick of common sense and some measure of character can see for themselves, but as for the others who relish the filth and welcome evil with open arms, their minds are blind and their consciences are seared, and the act of critical thinking is a lost cause. Absorb, assimilate, and dessiminate the reguritated filth as it washes over this nation and propells it into infamy is their catcall to the multitudes of progressive sinners who love to parade their excessive ignorance for all to see. And it will become worse as they reach positions of power.
But the good news is this, our God is not blind and what a man sows it what he will reap. You sow evil, you will reap the fruits of what you planted. If you are close enough to spit into the tornado, then you will never be seen again in this life. Evil is abounding in the United States, and of course, in the world also, but I am speaking to this nation that knew better in the previous generations. But these past three generations knows only evil, and because they have rejected God, God will allow the fruits of their wickedness to be reaped by them. They will not repent, but will harden their hearts to provoke him even more than did their parents before them.
So, what does the Bible have to do with this nation and why should it be read? It contains instructions for a godly life, for a good life. It teaches the discerning reader wisdom, knowledge and understanding. It places the believer on the path to life. It reveals the blessings of obedience as well as the curse for disobedience. It shows the true state of the heart, and reveals the path of life. It shows the beginning of all things and the end of time as we think we know it to be. It reveals the cosmos as well as the cell. It teaches biology, geology, astronomy, and the structure of the human body and mind. It shows that the heart is more than a muscle, and that strength comes from the Lord and not from a gym. It exposes the founder of evil, his pretentious claims and his final end. It shows that death is an entity and will also be destroyed, and the grave abolished. But the most singular important subject is the Son of God, Jesus Christ. He is the only one who is able to stop sin dead in its tracks, if you choose to believe in Him, because sin, or breaking the law of God is punishable by death. And Jesus came to break the power of sin, and restore man to the Creator. This is why you need to read your Bible more than any other book on your shelf or on your table. Because only through knowledge and faith in Jesus Christ can you avoid the death sentence that will never offer a parole.
Many authors write about the Bible and its teachings, and some are good, some not so and others terrible, and many try to elevate themselves as being inspired by the Holy Spirit. But there is only one book that has been inspired by the Spirit of God, and that is the Bible as originally penned by the men who wrote it over the time allocated by God. Today, many authors try to make that same claim, but impostors are a dime a dozen and their words are plug nickels and of little value other than to promote self. First and foremost, find an accurate translation and not a street version, avoid a cult copy from one of the many organizations purporting to be the only ones having “true Knowledge”. Go to a reputable source and do some homework and ask God to show you where to find it. Avoid all study Bibles, commentaries, maps, dictionaries, side notes and whatever else man has included. You don’t need an endorsed version by some preacher, teacher, scholar or evangelist, but what you do need is the Word in simplicity, the Word alone. So look for exactly that, just His Word. Or do you want someone to spoon-feed you?
You want to hear God speak to your heart, don’t you? Then leave the study Bibles where you found them, showcased on a shelf or pictured on Amazon. You will also spend far less by acquiring the best version possible, just His words. And then read it from Genesis to Revelation at least one time, and BELIEVE EVERY WORD because faith is what pleases God, and without it, you are not going to learn but a miniscule of what is in it. And after you have read it several times and are grounded solidly upon its teachings, then feel free to to look at others works, but do not let yourself become a disciple of any man for you were bought with a price, and you were called to be His Servant not to be indebted to another.
I’m fully aware of the counter-arguments, but they have little bearing on the truth. The Word of God has all that the inquiring soul needs to find its way home. Like the patriachs and others like them, we are pilgrims on this body called earth, and our home is not here. So, why collect its treasures when not a shard of them can you take on the hour of your departure? Take some time today and read the letter to the Hebrews which is found towards the end of your Bible, and learn what a life of faith entails. It is not bound up in riches, prosperity, popularity, looks, intellect or any other desire you may have. Faith is bound tightly together with hope, and hope is set upon love and love is strenghtened throuh obedience. To what? To the Father through Jesus, His Son
How can you know these things when the pastors are not teaching the oracles of Christ? And many people are not going to the churches for good reason, stale bread, putrid water, and cheap cologne turn the stomachs and bring on the headaches. Smooth speech soothes a stricken conscience and opens the purse. You will not learn the life of a believer through vain and lawless teachings. It is far better to meet at a home with several others and work together as brethern than to be divided by church dictates. And the Word is open before you as read and understand, helping each other by doing as the Lord commands with no one pretending to be the leader, but rather all are serving one another in love.
These things are clearly laid out in the Scriptures, but you need to pick up the Bible and read it for yourself. Ask God for wisdom to understand, and if you believe Him and the words given, do not doubt. Jesus did all things according to the will of His Father. Are we to do less than the master? Humble your hearts, and take His yoke upon your shoulders. The burden is light because He is carrying you. Think about that for a while lest pride enter into your thoughts and you seek the praises of men.
In closing, I am not anything greater than what I am in Christ, a servant. And you need to keep that same attitude, for pride goeth before the fall and a haughty spirit before destruction. There are only two paths to choose from in this life, and I urge you to take the one less traveled. It’s called the narrow way. And when you read your Bible, then you will know that way too.
I remain a brother to those who love the Lord Jesus.
