Deny the Lord Jesus By Denying His Words

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (lawlessness) - book of Matthew.

Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever, therefore, shall break one of the least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. - book of Matthew.

Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. - book of Matthew.

Thou knowest the commandments.- book of Mark.

Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing but the keeping of the commandments of God. - book of 1 Corinthians.

And hereby, we do know that we know him if we keep his commandments. - book of 1 John.

Blessed are they that do his commandments. - book of Revelation.

I once heard a man who considers himself a pastor tell his flock that the Ten Commandments were only guideposts, and there wasn’t a shred of evidence in the New Testament about keeping the Law. Well, I don’t know if he was wearing very dark shades, or maybe he needed a large-print Bible, or perhaps he is what the Lord Jesus calls a hireling. In any case, forty people chose him as their pastor, and forty-one headed for the pit. He is feeding them a teaching contrary to God’s Word and they are drinking it in.

But he is not the only one; there are thousands upon thousands of teachers teaching what they should not be teaching, which is erroneous doctrines. You have free will, though that appears to have been suppressed in these times, for instead of holding to sound doctrines, millions are off pursuing teachers to have their ears tickled. Heaping up to themselves such men, they are shepherds who will tell them what they want to hear, and they do not take note of the solemn warnings of the Lord, not even to let it into their hearts concerning the Law, but indeed they have. Not only that, but they have also replaced the words of the Lord with their own definitions and opinions, dogmas, and creeds. Instead of doing as Jesus commanded, rejection and replacement are the norm today. In effect, they are denying the Lord Jesus Christ, and that will be their undoing on that fateful day.

When asked why they believe that Jesus abolished the law, they all, without exception, parrot the same textbook answer that he crucified the laws of God to replace them with the spiritual laws, which He most definitely did not do. They were added to the Law but did not replace the Law. He nailed the ordinances of man to the cross, not his Father’s Law, which upholds all things. But the foolishness of man takes over when he refuses to understand and believe the works of God done in Christ. And rebellion comes from an unbelieving heart.

I have sat and listened to so many men teach the same lawless teachings over the years, and I understand how the mind becomes numb and settled, thereby making it easier to assimilate without discerning the errors taught, especially when reading the Word of God through expository books and learned mens’ commentaries. It's much easier to slip in lies when mixed with truths. There are also quite a few study Bibles penned by well-known and highly respected men and women who also teach doctrinal errors as truths, for a lie will always run contrary to the Word of God when taken out of context.

When the most straightforward command to love the Lord our God is taken lightly upon the shoulder, and the Sabbath as ordained by God rejected only to be replaced with another day and watered down, then it stands to reason that the other commands will be treated in the same fashion as well. Another reason is the continued belief in the mountain of God as being on the Sinai Peninsula whereas in fact it is located in Saudi Arabia in the Midian Desert as attested to by large numbers of witnesses and the Arabs who lived under that mountain for generations. But tradition holds sway and scholars comply and the believers are led astray. The Red Sea crossing is a proven fact, but again, all Bible maps show a false route running alongside the Red Sea, again, contrary to the Word of God. And not all too surprising, the vast majority of believers believe the “expert” lies and follow along most dutifully without bothering to investigate the findings themselves. Who are the indoctrinated ones here?

Persistence in unbelief will close the gates of the heavenly city to those insisting upon their views, opinions and false teachings as carrying more weight than the Word of God itself. As the flock so is the shepherd that feeds them, unbelief in the Word opens the doors to accepting the lies of the evil one, and when not seen and reproved, will insure the loss of more than one sheep to the wolves. In clear context, denying the written word of God leads to denying the Living Word of God which will lead to being denied by the Son of God. Is that a chance you are really going to take, mans’ words over the Lord?

As in all things, you have the choice, and the outcome will be decided by the weight of your words, and there will be no pastor to plead your case if you placed your faith in a hireling rather than the Great Shepherd himself, the Lord Jesus Christ.

I remain a brother in the Lord Jesus to the faithful called in Christ.
